Irrigator Waterpik WP-100 - reviews

https://zubovv.ru/krasota-i-uxod/irrigatoryi/polosti-rta-waterpik-wp-100.html
My husband and I have been using this irrigator for about a year now. I chose this model because of the good water pressure. I can say that the stream of water really comes out under strong pressure. We usually clean on mode 6. Of all the attachments, we only use the regular one. She's the most comfortable. I like to do this cleanse after eating. And it removes all the pieces of food between the teeth, leaving a feeling of freshness. I recommend cleaning with special solutions.

The presence of implants and crowns, as well as crowding of the lower front teeth, prompted the purchase of this device. I spent a long time choosing between models. I settled on this one. Compact, noise level is very low (only at position 10 it vibrates and makes noise much more noticeably, but I use it the least often), reliable compressor, very nice plastic, attachments can always be found on sale. It thoroughly cleans out all the residue that the brush did not pick up. I use filtered water and the first time I used a lot, but each time the amount decreases with the skill I acquire. Naturally, for the first time I splashed the entire mirror, but gradually the amount of splashed water decreased to a minimum. I am very pleased with the performance of the device!

Advantages:
The advantage of this device is that there is pressure adjustment from 1 to 10, this is very important for weak and bleeding gums. There are several attachments included, one of which helps to clean the gap between the gums and teeth, with minimal pressure. Although I mostly use one attachment.
Flaws:
If you use bad water, the nozzles get dirty and I don’t know how to wash them.
A comment:
An excellent irrigator, my friend and I have the same ones. We're both happy with it.

Advantages:
quiet, good for gum problems
Flaws:
small tank, difficult to find replacement nozzles
Oral irrigator waterpik wp 100 is a very good thing! My mom has gum problems and not every brush suits her. And here the waterpik wp 100 irrigator comes to the rescue. It does not injure the gums and cleans the oral cavity well. In addition, it works quite quietly.

https://otzovik.com/review_6033211.html
Advantages:
It perfectly washes away food debris between the teeth, especially when these gaps increase. Perfectly massages gums
Flaws:
Temporary stop button doesn't work well
Gave it for my birthday. It took me a while to get used to it. At first he sprayed everything around, then he began to rinse with his mouth closed. Gradually I reached maximum pressure. I forgot about bleeding gums. But, unfortunately, without a toothbrush, plaque remains on the teeth. Therefore, I brush my teeth in the evening and rinse them in the morning. But after cutting pieces of meat, you have to use an irrigator in the evening when the brush doesn’t work. I've been using it for 3 years and I'm happy with it. But I only use one attachment, the simplest one, I haven’t mastered the others, and I don’t feel the need.

Advantages:
beautiful design, compact, not noisy, many attachments
Flaws:
For me there are no disadvantages yet, I’m happy with everything, someone may not like the short cord with a plug, but that didn’t upset me either.
I'm so happy with the purchase that I wanted to share my joy. It really cleans out all the residue, I tested it, I liked it from the first use, it’s not noisy. There are a lot of attachments, so far I only use two, for regular cleaning and for cleaning pockets, I will try to master them all over time. I recommend.
experimentator
https://otzovik.com/review_7414449.html
Advantages:
Doesn’t take up much space, 10 modes, large volume of water tank (600 ml, and this is almost enough, so you shouldn’t buy a waterpik with a smaller volume - you’ll be tortured by pouring water every 20 seconds), nice design, the cord is just right.
Flaws:
It is noisy, but tolerable; if you close the bathroom door, you can barely hear it.
I had no idea before that after brushing and flossing, something could remain in your teeth. How wrong I was! The most obvious example: eat kebabs and nuts. After standard cleaning, turn on the irrigator and you will clearly see why you need this thing! The meat just flies out in pieces. My husband doesn’t appreciate it; I use it once a day, before bed. Also included are all kinds of attachments. I can’t say anything about them, since I only use one standard one. The water pressure, i.e. the pressure of the supplied jet, can be adjusted. This is convenient, since my small child is periodically interested in the irrigator and tries to use it for its intended purpose. I use it on the highest setting. And I let my child clean on medium.

I bought this irrigator through Ebay in the UK. Thus, saving 2 thousand at that time. For us it cost 6 thousand, and on Ebay, together with delivery, 4 thousand. I needed it because I had braces. I took off my braces a long time ago, but I can no longer live without an irrigator. I'm used to good things. There is no point in ordering on Ebay now. The price in the store is the same on Ebay, but the store also gives a guarantee.
I won’t write technical specifications; they are all available on the Internet.
I'll go straight to the pros and cons.
Pros:
1. very powerful, 620 kPa is more than enough. Knocks all the food out of the interdental spaces in two. There is something to compare with, then I bought a portable irrigator CS Medica, which is not half as powerful, although the power is written as 590 kPa. About him
Here
2 Lots of attachments. But in fact I only used two. The one for the interdental spaces (regular) and the one that looks like a regular brush. With water supply, cleaning is much more effective.
3. A fairly large water tank of 600 ml. But I would still like more. My husband had enough, but I didn’t have enough for braces, besides, I like maximum power, and with maximum power, the water drains faster. We have to get more water. I’m writing this as a plus only because other irrigators have even less.
4 As you already understood, you can switch the power. as many as 10 different speeds. I used small ones only at the very beginning, when I got used to it, then they are not needed. I used only the most powerful one.
5. Nozzles are sold without problems in stores. You can also order from Aliexpress. But lately I don’t see the point, the price in stores is the same as on Ali.
Minuses:
1 Inconvenient lid, in which there are nozzles, I want to remove it completely, it gets in the way. which I subsequently did. Fortunately, this does not affect the functionality of the device.
2 Hard water causes limescale deposits. But in principle, the device is not so delicate that it breaks.
2. And the main disadvantage. The irrigator worked for me for 3 years. At the moment the sandwich maker closed, the automatic power shutoff system in the house was triggered. The electricity had gone out before for various reasons, but after this time my irrigator would not turn on again. Perhaps the voltage drop was too strong. When I rushed to look for service centers, it turned out that there were none at all in my city. And no one undertakes to fix it. It was very upsetting. I hope that over time they will all appear. That's why I don't throw it away.
Let me sum it up. The main thing for me in a device is power. When the power is low, the irrigator is of no use. And the power of this model is very good, so it copes with its function 100 percent.
I'll tell you everything
https://irecommend.ru/content/pribor-dlya-tekh-kto-nosil-nosit-brekety-no-est-analogi-deshevle
The dentist advised me to buy an irrigator after my next visit. No, I didn’t have any problems with my teeth, but as a child I wore braces to correct my bite. After that, they put iron strips on the backs of my teeth. The dentist said that you should definitely use it to clean these glands and recommended this model.
I’m not one of those who skimp on my health, so I bought what was recommended. I have had the device for two years now, and at one time I bought it for 5,000 rubles.
Well, what can I say, at first the question arose: how to install this thing, because the wire is very short, and we have an outlet at the opposite end of the bathroom, although the room itself is not large. I had to struggle with extension cords every time, but the wire reached from the sink to the floor. It is very uncomfortable.
The kit comes with a lot of attachments, but I only use one, the rest were somehow not useful in the household. You also need to get used to using the device, it is very noisy and there is a lot of splashes, you hit the jet at random. The reservoir is basically enough for one cleansing session.
In general, the model itself is good, if not for the super short cable.
Since I work, it’s not convenient for me to put this extension cord here and there every day…. In general, after two months I gave up on this device and now, God willing, I use it once every 1-2 months, when I have a free day.
As for cleaning teeth, as such…. There is no “cleanliness” effect, I didn’t see any special pieces of food flying out of my teeth. Well, I don’t know, maybe I just haven’t tried it in 2 months?
The most important thing I want to say is... Soon after the purchase, my mother came to visit and saw this miracle device, of course she also wanted one. But she did not dare to pay 5,000 for it, but bought the Chinese version for 2,200 rubles, with the same number of attachments and a LONG wire.
Her device works properly and is no worse than this (she hasn’t used it herself, according to her), for example, she really likes it. So judging by my story, think about whether it makes sense to overpay for a brand.
I am adding to the review:
When I was pregnant, problems with my gums began to appear in the form of gingivitis, and when I went to the dentist, it turned out that the irrigator did not heal the gums at all, although for some reason in advertisements they always say that irrigators help the gums very well. However, alas, I was forbidden to use it at all, so another myth in the use of new technologies has been destroyed.
conclusions
When choosing an irrigator for thoroughly cleansing the oral cavity, you need to remember several points:
- a stationary device is more suitable for home use, and a portable battery device is more suitable for use on business trips and trips ;
- the basic criteria for choosing a good irrigator are the volume of the water tank, the number of operating modes and the maximum jet pressure ;
- also to take into account the time of spraying the liquid, the ability to rotate the nozzle 360 degrees and the total number of replaceable nozzles in the set ;
- Ideally, the device should be light in weight, fit comfortably in the hand and have a long power cord (for stationary models) or a capacious battery (for portable devices);
- If a device is purchased for a child, it is better to opt for a model designed specifically for children. For example, WaterPik WP-260 For kids.
Home irrigator Waterpik WP-100E Water Flosser
Hi all! Today I will tell you about a miracle device - a home irrigator.
I invite everyone interested to read it)
A little background.
How much do you care about a beautiful smile and healthy teeth? Pah-pah-pah, I was lucky with my heredity, and my teeth seriously bothered me only once in my entire life. But I think it's super important to take care of them as carefully as possible. Use a good toothpaste, change your brushes on time, go to the dentist regularly, even if nothing bothers you, spend enough time on brushing, etc.
A few years ago I learned that there is such a useful “beast” as an irrigator. I spent a long time reading reviews, testimonials, and recommendations about it. I doubted its necessity due to several points. Firstly, the price (mine cost about 7,000 rubles). Secondly, the space it will occupy in the bathroom (I am a supporter of minimalism and empty horizontal surfaces :). Thirdly, I wasn’t sure that I would use it regularly and that it would become a habit, and that the irrigator itself would not gather dust idle.
But still I was inclined to believe that I needed it. The decisive thing was the conversation with the dentist, whom I have been going to for ten years. I asked what he thought about electric brushes, whether there was any point in spending money on them or whether regular brushes were just fine. He said that if you have a budget, you can buy an electric one, but it will be much better
, if after a regular toothbrush you use a irrigator.
A month after this conversation, my husband gave me a Waterpik.
And now six months of use have passed, all the attachments have been tested, and my opinion has completely formed.
Irrigator - what kind of beast?
A device for additional home oral care.
How does it work?
Under high pressure, it cleans the spaces between the teeth with a stream of water + massages the gums. When using additional attachments, you can clean both your teeth and your tongue.
Who needs?
Actually, everyone :) But especially those who have braces or dentures, or something that prevents them from properly cleaning their teeth with just a brush. The device also has contraindications, but as far as I understand, there are very few of them: periodontitis and childhood (meaning that it will be difficult for children to use such a design)
Nozzles
Standard nozzles - 2 pcs. (they differ in the color of the plastic part - super convenient for family use!)
Tongue cleaning attachment - 1 pc. — I didn’t understand her at all, it’s easier to just clean your tongue with a brush, in my opinion.
Periodontal attachment for gum pockets - 1 pc. — I tried it several times, but in the end I still liked the standard nozzle better.
Orthodontic nozzle for cleaning braces - 1 pc. - irrelevant
Brush attachment - 1 pc. — the water pressure is weaker and the process resembles brushing your teeth with a regular brush, I don’t see the point in it
Nozzle for cleaning implants, crowns, bridges, dentures - 1 pc. - irrelevant
Nozzles are conveniently stored in the lid, which is located above the water container
Usage experience:
six months
How to use:
- Select the desired nozzle (I have a standard one).
- Pour water into the container (I use running water, but you can also use rinse aid or mix water with rinse aid). I use a whole container, it’s just enough for the whole procedure.
- We set the desired power level (I usually have 7-8, but I started with 5-6)
- Directing the jet strictly perpendicularly, we pass along the bases of the teeth, lingering on the interdental spaces. The process is described in detail in the instructions for the device.
About the pros and cons:
- Sooooo clean teeth. This is truly another level of cleansing. Similar to the feeling after a preventative cleaning - Gums feel better and bleed less - You can reach the most inaccessible places where brushing is inconvenient - Teeth look whiter due to the fact that the spaces between them are cleaned
- Price. In my opinion, the price is still too high for such a simple mechanism - Attachments. Everything except the main one seemed useless to me. I thought that the one with the tongue blade and the one with the brush would be useful. But with them the pressure is weaker and I don’t feel the effect from them. The kit also includes an attachment that duplicates the main one. This is very convenient, because the device can be used by two people. — Presence of wire. This is a stationary irrigator, but there are portable wireless ones, but they have a much smaller water container volume.
It fits quite comfortably in your hand. During the procedure, if necessary, you can press the blue button - this is essentially a “pause” in the water supply.
The cord length is comfortable. Due to the fact that it folds itself into a spiral, the device looks very neat when stored
Container volume 600 ml. I use the full amount at a time, but in reality 500 ml would be enough. I just like to go through some places twice
This is what it looks like in its original place. Quite compact and almost non-irritating)))
And a few more points:
- I use the irrigator once a day - in the evening. If I come home late or am tired, I can score and miss, but this rarely happens.
- The whole process takes approximately 5 minutes.
- It makes quite a lot of noise, in my opinion. But the sound is muffled, so if someone is sleeping in the next room, it will not be annoying.
- Initially, I thought that during use, all the surfaces in the bathroom would be splashed, but, hallelujah, no!) When I use the device, I lean over the sink and slightly cover my mouth. As a result, your teeth are clean and the sink does not need to be washed/wiped!)
- We use the irrigator together with my husband, he just recently had an examination at the dentist and returned with a happy look. He said that nothing needed to be treated, which was actually surprising for him, because before that every examination resulted in some kind of unpleasant procedures.
- The manufacturer recommends changing the nozzle every three months. But I blatantly break this rule, because the standard nozzle can be easily washed with water or some kind of disinfectant solution (I washed it a couple of times with miramistin)
Results:
No, I do not believe that a waterpik is a cure for all diseases. But I think that this is an excellent prevention of all kinds of dental problems, a much cleaner mouth and fresh breath :) I use it with pleasure and praise it to all my friends)
If I were to buy it again, I would look for a version with fewer attachments, due to which the price is lower.
Grade:
5 out of 5. Definitely recommend!
How do you take care of your teeth? Do you use thread or some special brush? Have you tried using an irrigator?
